In case you haven’t already heard…

Quill & Quire has written up a lovely publication announcement for our upcoming title “My Life” written by Sofia Tolstoy and translated into English by Andrew Donskov, John Woodsworth, and Arkadi Klioutchanski.

We apologize for the delay in passing the information along, but we’ve been busy busy busy with conferences this month!

Quill & Quire reporter Chelsea Murray writes:

“The University of Ottawa Press has landed a small victory for Canadian scholarly publishing, signing a deal for world English-language rights to the contentious, unpublished memoirs of Leo Tolstoy’s wife, Sofia Tolstoy. My Life, which is more than 1,200 pages long, had been kept out of print for more than 100 years by Russians wanting to protect the reputation of Sofia's cherished husband. The book will be released simultaneously by the Tolstoy Museum in Russian and by UOP in English in July.”
